Love Bugs Photoshoot

Last year we did a photoshoot with LoveBug and couldn't wait to do another one this year! Today was the day and getting the kids ready wasn't easy. They needed bright colors - and something comfy. Here are a few pictures I took with my phone….. (more pics to come)

Olive & Buster Update

OLIVE

- Loves drawing and writing. Everyday she asks us how to spell something so that she can write it down.
- Only wants her hair straight. Her reasoning: she says "When I have curly hair…I'm bad.  When I have straight hair….I'm good." Lord help me.
- Dresses herself these days.
- Has been pretty good about trying different kinds of foods. Half of the time she's surprised that she likes it although the other half she spits it out.
- Still refuses to wear pants.
- Has definitely been having her fair share of meltdowns.
- Desperately wants a cat named Emily. (don't worry - we are NOT getting another animal)
- Wants to learn how to swim this year.

BUSTER

- Every morning when he wakes up he says "Mammaaaa… Daaaadddaaa… Mammmaaaaaaa… Dadddda…Ouuuut…Ouuuut" It's pretty much the cutest thing ever.
- Obsessed with the car. He wants to go in the car and play with all the buttons 24/7.
- Loves his teepee. He runs inside and says "Mama…siiiiit. Siiiiiit" and points to the floor next to him.
- Has HUGE feet. He's a size 7! Keep in mind his sister is only a size in a half bigger!
- Can navigate the iPad like a 5 year old. There is a game that Olive plays that he has mastered - memory games, puzzles, number.  It's pretty crazy.
- Is so snuggly these days. I'll ask him for a big hug or kiss and he'll come running over! I love it so much.
- His new favorite thing is to bang on Olive's drum set. Mommy and Daddy definitely need earplugs!
- Whenever I get the camera out - he gives me the funniest smile and says, "Cheeeeeeese".

Birthday Trip

It's no secret I'm turning 40 this year. I've decided that I really want to take a trip without the kids. The only problem is - I need help deciding WHERE to go.

American Apparel Website

Yesterday we went to the American Apparel warehouse for another photoshoot. This time they just took pictures of Olive for their website.

Believe it or not - the pictures are up already! I cannot believe what a little beauty she is. She's really good in front of the camera too - she listens and takes direction well. I think it might because her mommy snaps 1000 pictures of her daily.

I love purple. It's one of those colors that I don't wear very often - but whenever I see it, I end up smiling. I think in 2015 I'm going to try and buy a lot more of it!

Bring it 2015

Life with two kids doesn't always allow us to be party animals. With that being said - our New Years Eve  plans for the last couple of years have been pretty mellow. This year was no exception. We took the kids to a party in the neighborhood that celebrated on New York time.

The kids had a great time. There was coloring, treasure hunts, a piñata, and smores! Unfortunately Andrew wasn't feeling so great so he left early with Buster.

The best part about celebrating on NY time - is that we toasted at 9pm. It was early enough that the little ones weren't too tired…..and I wasn't too tipsy! 

Color Me Mine

After we bowled and ate lunch at cpk - we headed to Color Me Mine. It's funny how much these little ones love it there. Although I have to admit - I sort of love it too! I made the cutest little jewelry box for Olive. She asks me every day when we can go and pick our ceramics up. I can't wait to see how they turned out!

Goodbye 2014….Hello 2015

I'm not going to lie - 2014 wasn't the greatest. There were a lot of runny noses,  dramzzzz, and our fair share of ups and downs. I'm happy to say goodbye and hello to a new year. Here's hoping 2015 is  waaaaaaaaay better!

Having Fun with My Cousins

(dictated to Kim) Hi - this is Emma. I'm at Auntie Kimmies staying with Olive. We bowled for a long time today and had lunch at mck (um…CPK). And then we painted at Color Me Mine (will post pictures soon). Auntie is the best auntie in the whole wide world.  I love her so much.
