Glenda's Birthday/Rocky Horror

On Saturday night we celebrated our friend Glenda's 40th birthday.  It was a night filled with tacos, tequila (wine for me), and treats. We had so much fun. Her new house is in our old neighborhood and is GORGEOUS. She is the perfect hostess and has serious skills when it comes to decorating! At one point Andrew and I were upstairs with all the kids playing. It was actually pretty fun. I only wish our kids were there! But they were at Grandma and Grandpas which was also nice!

After the party Andrew and I went to the Rocky Horror Picture show at the Nuart Theater on Santa Monica Blvd. We had been wanting to go for years....and it seemed like the perfect time since the kids were away for the night. Believe it or not - I was in it when I was 18. Basically people act out the movie on a stage in front of the screen. The audience interacts by yelling things at the screen/actors, dancing, etc.  I hate to say it but I remember it being much cooler. There was a lot more yelling and screaming than I remembered when I was apart of it. Granted that was only for a month - so what do I know!

SLEEPOVER

Last week Buster and Ella had a sleepover at our house. Let me just say this - the two of them were excited for a week straight! I got matching jammies, planned on watching a movie, baking chocolate chip cookies, and having the BEST TIME EVER.  I'm pretty sure it was! Including Buster asking the magic 8 ball whether Ella was going to marry him. The answer every time was YES!

Buster is in LOVE

So. It's happened. Buster is in love. The "love of his life" (HIS WORDS NOT MINE) is Ella L. in his class. Let me just say this - she is a cutie pie and apparently he is the love of her life too. Tomorrow is a big day in the Cahn household because Buster and Ella are having a sleepover at our house. They've been talking about it all week....which is pretty much the cutest thing ever. It's Busters first sleepover so I'm trying to make it extra special. I got them matching PJs today and have a fun night planned. Ice cream, crafts, movie, pizza, and then cookie making with daddy. Sleepovers have ALWAYS been my favorite so I'm pretty excited about tomorrow night too!

School Gala 2019

Saturday night was the kids' school fundraiser at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. This was the first year we didn't bid on more than a few items. I got a cooking class, white party, and kids rock climbing and ice cream day.  Now that they do the bidding all online - it isn't quite as fun!  After the event I was still STARVING so we went to my favorite place Astro Burger. Seriously the veggie burger with bacon is so dang good.

Thanksgiving 2018

For Thanksgiving 2018 the kids and I drove to sacramento a few days early to spend more time with the Rufers and Oliveiras.  The first night Karrie, Ida, Lizzy, and I went to Kru for dinner.  Even though I'm a bit of a sushi snob....this place is really really good.

The next morning we went to the store with my mom to get some last minute items for Thanksgiving. It was raining in Sacramento.....which was a buzzkill. But I think it is always raining in Sacramento.

Happy Thanksgiving!
