End of Days
Well it looks like we are under house arrest for the foreseeable future. This Coronavirus has really ruined life here in Los Angeles. Everything is closed - restaurants, bars, stores, etc. Basically anything fun is closed! My social life is definitely going to suffer. And let's not even get started about how hard it is to teach 2 kids! Teachers are the ones who should be making millions.

Pajama Day
On the Friday of Christmas Break - the kids had Pajama Day at school. Of course Andrew and I also donned our matching PJ's and spent the ENTIRE DAY there. Granted, it was only a half day....but still. Andrew made chocolate chip cookies and banana bread for all the teachers, office staff, principal, etc. We also made hot chocolate for both Buster and Olive's classes.

Annie - 2019
In early December Olive was in a production of Annie at her school. She got cast as Tessie - the orphan that says "Oh my goodness, oh my goodness". She was fantastic and I was soooooo proud of her.

Student Council UPDATE
OLIVE WON!! OLIVE WON!! OLIVE WON!!
Guys!! Olive won for 3rd Grade Goodwill Ambassador at her school. I have no idea what a Goodwill Ambassador does...but I have to say I'm soooo proud of her! She beat out a lot of her friends which was sad....but she will definitely do a great job on student council.

Student Council Here We Come
A few weeks ago Olive ran for 3rd Grade Goodwill Ambassador for Student Council. She made it through the first round and had to make a poster. Today was the speeches. Let me say this - my baby was so poised and well spoken. She stood up in front of her peers and gave a great speech. I would definitely vote for her. Cross your fingers and toes that she wins! She's got some stiff competition.

Olive Runs for Student Council
Now that Olive is in 3rd Grade she is able to run for Student Council at her Elementary School. She's made it to the second round for 3rd Grade Goodwill Ambassador. Andrew had the great idea of making the above poster! Olive absolutely loves it and it was supposed to go up on Monday. However, with the fires all of the schools in the area are closed. (It's been 3 days of not leaving the house and I'm going a bit crazy to be honest!)

Walkathon - 2018
For the last 3 years Olive has won the entire walkathon event at her school. We raise over $1000 each year and this year was no different. The only problem - what to do about Buster? To be fair - they both raised the same amount $1125. Granted - Buster did more "laps" than Olive. I say that because I'm pretty sure his reading buddies gave them all their popsicle sticks.
Thank you to everyone who donated! We really couldn't do it without you.

School Pics 2018-2019
Just got the kids school pics back. This is Buster in kindergarten. His smile....I just can't. I wish I had been there to fix his hair. Instead I was helping some other kid in his class. Oops.
This is Olive in second grade. I can remember when she first started school. Crazy to think it was 4 years ago. I'm really not sure where the time has gone.

Officially a Kindergartener
I can hardly believe that Buster is in Kindergarten now!! I was lucky enough to volunteer on his very first day and was impressed with how well behaved he was in class. The best part is that we only have one drop off and pick up now!

Almost a 2nd Grader
Olive's last day of school was a few weeks ago. I still can't believe she will be in 2nd grade! Not only that, but Buster will be entering Kindergarten. Where in the heck did the time go? I seriously cannot believe how big these kids are getting.
To celebrate her last day and her getting all 4's (basically A's) - we took Olive to the Bel Air Hotel for a fancy lunch. It was such a beautiful day and so fun having a special day with our first born. After lunch we picked Buster up and met my mom at the airport. She took the kids to Newport so we could celebrate our anniversary in Palm Springs. (I'll post pics of our trip soon)

Walkathon 2017
For the last two years Olive has raised the most money at her schools walkathon. I'm hoping this year will be no different. It seems she raised over $1700! Thank you to all of our family members and friends who pledged.

Moodboard - Back to School
One thing about me - I LOVE any excuse to buy things. Back to school shopping is one of my all time favorites. I loved it as a kid, and I love it now! Our go to stores are: H&M (the overalls and dress), Zara (the leather jacket and shiny shoes), and Target (notebook, water bottle, lunchbox, backpack, pencil holder, and dinosaur shirt). And who doesn't love vans? I bought both Buster and Olive the checkered ones so we would all match!

First Grade
Yesterday was Olive's first day as a 1st Grader. I always say this - but I honestly don't know where the time has gone! She is growing into such a sweet, smart, amazingly extraordinary girl. Thankfully she was placed with a great teacher and a fun group of kids.
* that shirt is from Target and it's sooooooo good that I got one in my size too.

Olive's End of Year Video
Last year Andrew and I put together an end of year video for Olive's class and we did another one this year. I'm a little biased....but I think it turned out well.
Buster's End of Year Party
Friday was Busters last day of school until the fall. I don't know how it happens but it seems that time keeps moving faster and faster and faster. These two are getting way too big. Buster won't even give me hugs and kisses anymore.

Buster's School Pic
Every year I take the yearbook photos for the kids preschool. This year they turned out sooooo cute. This little guy is a heartbreaker. Big time.

Griffith Park Observatory
Last week Busters class went on a field trip to the Griffith Observatory. The kids are studying the solar system so it was the perfect place to go!
