Max Wanger Photoshoot

As you all know - my absolute favorite photographer is Max Wanger. I love love love all his photographs and for the last two years we've been lucky enough to get holiday pictures with him. This year we definitely took more than we did last year. The kids were much better behaved (they knew that their mom wouldn't mess around again) and Andrew was feeling much better.

This was our holiday card this year. I think it perfectly captures our crazy little family. I'm hoping that we can do it again next year!

Christmas - Sac 2019

For Christmas this year we drove to Sacramento to spend it with my side of the family. Thankfully the hotel is the perfect point to stop, have food, and recharge. And nothing is better than my moms tree.

Holiday Pictures - Max Wanger

As most of you know - my favorite photographer is Max Wanger.  He was offering mini sessions for the holidays.  And by mini-sessions....I mean like 15-20min. for each family.  Sadly, the kids were not on their best behavior and got an earful when we were done.  Thank goodness he's amazing and the pictures were still cute.

Fourth of July

I have quite a few pictures from the Fourth of July...but this is by far my favorite. I really really really love it there and can't wait until we can all go back soon.

Rufer Christmas Party 2018

This post is VERY VERY VERY late. I've been trying to keep the blog updated but with two kids in school, and all the volunteering, the yearbook, the videos we make at the end of the year...... I AM FAILING. This post is basically 5 months late! But better late than NEVER I guess. My parents Christmas party is always a fun affair and this year (OK LAST YEAR) was no exception. The food is always so delicious and the booze flows freely. The kids are finally at an age where they enjoy it and we aren't having to watch their every move. Now I just have to figure out what I'm wearing to the next one!

Thanksgiving 2018

For Thanksgiving 2018 the kids and I drove to sacramento a few days early to spend more time with the Rufers and Oliveiras.  The first night Karrie, Ida, Lizzy, and I went to Kru for dinner.  Even though I'm a bit of a sushi snob....this place is really really good.

The next morning we went to the store with my mom to get some last minute items for Thanksgiving. It was raining in Sacramento.....which was a buzzkill. But I think it is always raining in Sacramento.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween 2018

For Halloween this year I made these really cool element costumes using L-wire. I was a rainbow. Andrew was a lightening bolt. Olive was a rain cloud. And Buster was the sun. WE LITERALLY LIT UP. They were the COOLEST costumes. Of course on actual Halloween day - the kids wanted to wear their "other" costumes instead of the ones I made.

Merry Christmas

Christmas is, without a doubt, my favorite day of the entire year. I love watching the kids open their presents and spending time with family. This year we stayed in Los Angeles. The kids were so excited that they woke up at 6am and wanted to make sure Santa came. Somehow I was able to talk them into resting for another 30-45minutes and then we all stumbled downstairs to open presents. In the afternoon we drove to see grandma and grandpa in Camarillo to open more presents! After that we ate a delicious meal (that I'm still recovering from) and headed home. Christmas - I love you so much. I can't wait until next year.

P.S. The dog in the picture is Ozzy. Sadly, he doesn't belong to us. We are dog sitting for Shawn and Austin for a week or so. Guess what.....WE LOVE HIM.

Happy Halloween

Every year I get pretty excited for Halloween. I love dressing up as a family and this year was no exception! I really wanted to do these costumes last year....but I couldn't get it together to make them. As you can see - they took a little while to make. Each costume had battery operated wire that lit up. My costume was the most difficult because I had 6 different remotes for all the colors! Of course - Olive did not want to be the rain cloud trick or treating. So it was just Andrew and I....but I have to say...the costumes were sooooo cool at night. So many kids stopped us to tell us they loved our costumes. I just wish our kids would have worn theirs.

4th of July

I'll admit it - I'm WAY behind on blog entries. It's been a bit crazy with Buster in school now. I'll try and update the blog with all of our summer activities as well as my trip to London!  For now here are pictures from our 4th of July in Bay Island.

The first day was just us on the beach. Then the following day a few of our friends drove down to celebrate.

We watched fireworks from the beach and the kids stayed up waaaaaaay too late. All in all - a great 4th of July!
