Baby is 17.75 inches - about the size of a cantaloupe and weighs around 4.75 lbs.

Easter Egg Time

Now that Olive is a full fledged toddler, everything is much more fun. She gets excited over the smallest things. Case in point - we dyed Easter eggs yesterday and it completely changed her world.

It helped that we had been talking about it for weeks so she was extra excited. She sat patiently and even helped pour the vinegar into each cup.

I'm also proud to say that Olive did most of the egg dying all by herself! Of course most of her eggs ended up being her favorite color - BLUE!

There were no messy disasters until she decided to pour all the glitter into each cup of dye. But who doesn't LOVE glitter?

All in all - it was a blast and Olive absolutely loved it. Now I can't wait for her to have an Easter egg hunt and Grandma and Grandpas!

*note: I know it doesn't look like Andrew was there - but he took all the awesome pictures!

Little White Lies....

Is it wrong that I've told Olive that her shoes are various princess shoes? For example the ones in the above picture are "snow white". It makes getting her dressed so much easier.

My Baby Brother is Engaged!

I can't believe I didn't post this sooner, but my baby brother Todd and Lizzy are engaged! I'm pretty sure their wedding will be fabulous and I'm already thinking about what dress I can wear! Congratulations to you both - I love you very much and couldn't be more happy for you!

Mood Board - COLOR

I am obsessed with Easter this year. Maybe it's because Olive has been talking about dying Easter eggs for weeks. Or maybe because I can't wait to make a fancy basket for her. In any case - I'm in love with anything turquoise, salmon or both! For whatever reason those colors feel like Easter to me.

Pimpin Ain't Easy (Andrew's title - not mine)

With this pregnancy it's been a lot more difficult to document my weekly photos. I tend to miss a week here and there - and last week was no exception. I had Andrew snap a photo of me tonight on my phone just so I could do a blog entry.

No one ever said being pregnant is easy.  Obviously having a little creature growing and moving around inside you for 9 months is a little uncomfortable.  Maybe I was spoiled with Olive because I don't remember her giving me any trouble at all.  Or maybe I just don't remember the bad parts? Regardless - this current pregnancy is kicking my butt.  I feel tired all the time and I have aches in places I wasn't even aware of.  My only hope is that Buster is getting all his aggression out on the inside, so when he pops out he will be the sweetest little boy in the world.

moving blues

allow me to take a minute away from the usual blog material of baby pictures and kim's extensive shopping lists to give a little credit to my better half.

when we decided to move it was agreed that we would get professional movers to box, pack, and move everything.  since kim is 7 months pregnant there is no way she should be worrying about that sort of physical labor.

well kim had other thoughts and proceeded to spend the two weeks before the move packing and organizing everything.  i was in the middle of a very big job so i couldn't help as much as i should have been.  but kim was amazing and made moving a breeze.  i can't give her enough credit for all the work she did while simultaneously taking care of olive.  i don't know how she did it.

another special shout out to my mother-in-law for taking olive for a 2 days while we moved and then stayed with us for 3 days to help unpack everything.

you ladies are the best!

We renewed our Disneyland season passes!

Trains and Horses

Daddy had a few days off earlier in the week, so we thought we would make the most of it. Wednesday afternoon we headed to Griffith Park so that Olive could ride the train and horses. It was a little crazy that they let her ride all by herself -but she was into it! Thankfully our little girl isn't afraid of much....except for insects. But more on that later....

Milk & Cookies

Lately, Olive and I have gotten into the habit of having milk and cookies before bed. I blame it on the girl scouts, but secretly I think it is Buster.

Beach Day

After Olive's nap yesterday, we decided to pack up the car and head to the beach. Even though we live so close to the ocean - we rarely get out there! I need to make more of an effort and do it more often because Olive LOVES it.
