Hello London - Day One, Two, and Three

I arrived in London in the early evening. The first thing I did was take the cutest little taxi to the hotel that Lotus was sharing with me. We walked around Mayfair and had dinner and drinks at a little restaurant near the hotel. So far - I was in LOVE with London.

My second day in London was even better than the first. Lotus had the morning off so we went to Sketch for the tea service. Let me just say this - IT WAS FANTASTIC. The food was out of this world. The service was excellent. Even the bathroom was cool! Not sure if you can tell from the above picture but each toilet was in a pod. They had a trio of strings that played while you ate too. Both Lotus and I were in heaven.

After tea - I had a walking tour of Buckingham Palace. I got to go inside and see 19 of the 775 rooms. Yes, that's right. SEVEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE ROOMS! After the tour I walked through Hyde Park back to the hotel.  I had just enough time to relax before having dinner and drinks on my own as Lotus had to work.

That night I got dressed up and had dinner at a lovely restaurant (can't remember the name). After dinner I had the bright idea of walking to the Savoy Hotel for a drink. IN THOSE HEELS. Lets just say that I got lost and was wandering around the streets of London for almost 2 hours until I finally found it. My feet HATED me. After a nice glass of wine (or 3), I headed back to the hotel but in a taxi this time! Believe me - I learned my lesson. The second I got my jammies on, Lotus called and wanted me to meet her out. Which, of course, I did. Let's just say that both of us woke up feeling less than 100%

Like I said.....the next morning Lotus and I were definitely feeling the effects from all the booze we ingested. However, I had reservations at A. Wong and we didn't want to miss the dim sum extravaganza. So we motivated and walked there. Granted - there were moments we both thought we were going to throw up. We laughed so hard we cried. Oh, and the food was DELICIOUS. Wish we would have ordered a ton more. Sadly - our tummies just couldn't take it.

That night we walked around for awhile and then had a yummy meal at Bocca Di Lupo in Soho. I was still loving London. Especially at night.
