Lake Tahoe 2017

After Christmas we headed to Lake Tahoe for a week. Our friends Anne and JC joined us with their daughter Mika. Our first stop was the Bridge Tender. It is one of our favorite places - good for kids AND adults. The zucchini fries are soooooooo delicious.

The next day we went to Squaw Valley so we could register the kids for ski lessons the following day. We had lunch and decided to ride the tram. Even though I have a fear of heights.....the views were pretty epic. I only had to close my eyes a few times.

The next day the kids were in ski school all day. I wasn't sure if Olive and Buster would like it, but they both LOVED it. They asked to go the next day. Although when they woke up the next morning I think they were both a little sore so we decided to skip it.

The following day we relaxed and spent time on the beach. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Sunny skies and no snow...which was a far cry from when we were in Tahoe 2 years ago. Later in the afternoon we hiked Eagle Rock which had spectacular views of the lake.

The next day we headed to Incline Village to bowl. I love that my kids enjoy bowling as much as I do.

During our trip the kids met some other little ones staying with their grandparents. Of course Olive was over the moon to have another 7 year old to play with. They spent 3 days running around the beach trying to skip rocks, building a snowman, and collecting treasures. It was pretty cute. Olive even wrote a letter to Claire (the 7 year old). Sadly, she hasn't gotten a letter back.

On the day we headed home we went to the lookout at Emerald Bay for one last view of the lake. All in all it was a great trip that we all enjoyed. We can't wait to go back!
