Happy Birthday OLIVE!

Sunday we threw Olive a birthday party at the house. For weeks I couldn't decide what to do - make food for everyone or cater it from somewhere? In the end I decided that it would be too hard to cook for over 60 people so we got a Dogtown Dogs food truck. It was absolutely delicious and I think everyone really enjoyed it. The best part - they did everything for us! Set up, cooked, and cleaned! It helped that the gourmet hotdogs were delicious.

In the backyard we had a bouncy house and a craft table where the kids could make masks. I still don't understand what it is about kids and bouncy houses but they LOVE them! My niece Alison and next door neighbor Maddy manned the crafts and helped with all the little ones.

I have to admit I LOVED making the goodie bags. I decided that I wanted to do something a little different and had little custom wildflower seed cupcake made. I put a packet of soil into bright colored pots and included a custom notepad with matching bubbles, crayons, and a lollipop. They were the cutest! And hopefully all the kids enjoyed planting their flowers!

There really was only one minor incident when Georgia stole the cherry off of Olive's birthday cake. Thankfully Olive was over it a moment after it happened. For a second I thought we might have to go to the store and buy more!

All in all it was a FABULOUS birthday party! I think everyone had a great time. As much as it was a party for Olive - it was a party for us too. Thank you to everyone who came and made it special for our little girl.
