known fact - kim hates disneyland.
i'm not sure why exactly, maybe the inner child in her died at an early age, or maybe she just can't deal with fun. her family goes every new year's, and for her it is the equivalent of going to the dentist. but since the addition of olive, kim has had an increased interest in the magic kingdom.
my only major problem with disneyland is the crowds, as my hatred of people is well known. last tuesday it was threatening rain, and i conveniently had the day off of work, so kim and i decided to go. if that sounds crazy to you - i've always heard that the best time to go to disneyland is when it is raining. short story even shorter - it was perfect! the line for space mountain was 5 minutes. in the 5 hours we were there, we rode 12 rides - and that is including an hour long lunch.
olive's favorite ride was the astro orbitor. we went on it 3 times. i think our sweet little daughter is going to be an adrenaline addict.
kim's has had this dream to eat at the 'secret' restaurant inside the pirates of the caribbean.
it's not actually a secret - the blue bayou was very good, plus you got to hear the pirate action in the background.
of course we had to go on pirates of the caribbean. it was a little scary for olive, but she handled herself like a champ. next we went on the finding nemo submarine, which was more olive's speed.
we rounded it out with dumbo, its a small world, and the carousel. all and all a great day.
