olive graduates

in a sign of things to come - olive has outgrown her carseat.  it was only rated to about 25 lbs, and in the past few weeks her feet have started to stick out over the end.  

so off we went to the baby store to get a new britax that should be good up to 55lbs.  i ran into a little problem when i tried to install it - turns out our car's rear seat is reclined and makes the car seat lean too far forward.  

i googled the problem and turns out there is a wedge you can buy for $20 to fix it.  turns out the magical $20 fix was a 12 inch piece of pool noodle.  just a reminder of what a scam the baby industry is - all you have to say is 'don't you want your baby to be safe?' and bam - out comes the credit card.

but olive loves her plush new car seat, so that's all that matters.  sort of.
