Olive Update

OLIVE UPDATE

- Almost done with kindergarten. There's only a few more months left and then she will officially be a first grader!
- Reading chapter books.
- No boyfriends currently - at least not any that she's telling me about. There are a few suitors that are pining after her though.
- Loves to have cereal for breakfast
- Has 5 best friends. Sadly, three aren't coming back to the school next year.
- Favorite movie is Trolls
- Taking tennis lessons this summer.
- Obsessed with the idea of going on vacation. Every week she asks me where we are going to go this summer. I might actually surprise her and take her somewhere!
- Still has only lost 8 teeth and no cavities.
- Prefers sleeping with no pajamas.

Buster Update

BUSTER UPDATE

- Completely potty trained. Even when he wakes up in the morning - he asks me to take his diaper off so that he can go to the bathroom.
- Can count. When we are reading books he will point at the teeth on the animal and say "one, two, three, four teeth!". I have a feeling he will be good at math.
- His new favorite thing is to say about food is "I like that" and then take a bite. The other day someone had seaweed and he said that and then ate it. Sadly - I had to finish it. Not so sure he actually "liked" it.
- Sleeps in his bed all night long. It was a week of buying his gifts every day - but it worked!
- Starting to write the letters in his name. Every day in school we encourage him to try since they have his name spelled out and he can trace it.
- His favorite movies are Sing and Rock Dog
- Starting swim lessons this weekend. He can already dog paddle on his own without his floaties. I'm really hoping that the lessons will have him swimming like a fish in no time.
- Eats cheeseburgers! Believe me - it's a game changer.
- Likes to dress himself. Sometimes its disastrous and sometimes its adorable.
- Left and Right handed. We can't figure out which he REALL is!

Happy B-day Buster

Happy Happy Birthday to this little guy. I cannot believe he is 4 years old today. He truly is a very special kid. It hasn't always been easy - but it's definitely been worth it. He is turning into the sweetest, smartest, funniest, compassionate, and fun little boy. His birthday party on Saturday wasn't as crazy as I normally get. But I loved making his day special. At one point after cake he said, "Mommy I'm ready for everybody to leave now so I can open my presents!"

Happy Birthday To Me!

I turned 42 on Thursday. I still can't believe I'm THAT old. I spent the morning shopping with my mom and then had lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel with my mom, stepdad, Karrie, and Ida. We did a little more shopping then got ready for dinner (I also had Olive's open house in between). We had dinner that night at Odys and Penelope and then went to Barney's Beanery where my friend Betsy kicked my stepdads butt at Pop a Shot. We ended the night at the Soho House were we took a few pics in the Photo Booth. I can never pass one up. EVER.

Buster's Turning 4

I can hardly believe my baby is turning four years old. It seems like yesterday that I had him. He has turned into the cutest, sweetest, smartest little boy ever. He truly is a special human being. His smile. His laugh. His amazing lashes. The kid has me wrapped around his little finger. I ADORE him. For his birthday party this year I got the same petting zoo I had for Olive's 4th birthday. We plan on heating the pool to a scorching 87 degrees so everyone can swim. Cross your fingers for clear, blue skies.

Buster's School Pic

Every year I take the yearbook photos for the kids preschool. This year they turned out sooooo cute. This little guy is a heartbreaker. Big time.

Spring Break Crew

On Monday we drove to Newport to spend the day with Ida and the kids. It was Alison's birthday so we celebrated with a nice lunch at the Lighthouse Cafe. After, we took the kids to the park to play. Ross surprised the family by coming down for the night too!

Potty Training 101

Buster was potty trained awhile ago. However - he refused to go poop in the toilet. He would let me know when he had to go and request a diaper.  I didn't want to put any pressure on him and figured with a little encouragement - it wouldn't take long. Cut to over a year later and he was still going in a diaper. I'm happy to report that for over a week he's been going on the toilet! Granted - I had to get him a toy for every day that he went. Whatever works, right!?!?!!?

Lennox's Birthday Party!

Last Saturday my friend Glenda asked me to take some photos at Lennox's 4th Birthday party. First off - the party was amazing. It was a circus theme and there were so many carnival attractions. Glenda definitely knows how to throw a party! In any case - here are a few photos that I took. I had a lot of great ones of other kids....but figured their parents may not appreciate me posting their pictures on the blog.
