Happy Mothers Day (A Little Late)
This year my birthday fell on Mothers Day so we celebrated both a little early with Andrew's family. Carolyn made the most delicious cake. She outdoes herself with her sugary treats at every holiday. Thankfully, her son inherited her love of baking.
After our yummy meal - we headed to the park so the kids could play for a little bit. It was the perfect Mothers Day and birthday!

Happy Birthday Buster!
It's hard to believe that a year ago today, Buster was born. It seems like time moved so slowly when we had Olive. I feel like it was just yesterday that he was a newborn. And now he is walking, talking, and pooping in the potty (more on that later). This little guy is such a sensitive soul - he's sweet and beyond smart. Life is definitely far more interesting with him in it. I can't imagine our lives without him. Happy Happy Birthday Busty!
*Olive and Brittany made the cake last night. At 7am this morning we frosted it and put sprinkles on it. I have to say - it was pretty delicious!

Birthday Celebration
I can't believe I turned 39 this year - for whatever reason it seems so old. Deep down, I still feel like I'm 25! Saturday night we had dinner with some of my friends at Esquela to celebrate. I love this crew so much. Thanks for making me feel so special.

Thirty-nine years ago my mom was in labor for over 27 hours. She had me at 1:48pm on Mothers Day. This year I get to celebrate both!

Birthday - Moodboard
So…….my birthday is coming up. For whatever reason - I'm not super excited about it this year. Maybe it's because I'm getting closer to 40! There are, however, a few things I have my eye on.

I'm in need of a bright, big bag and a cute teething necklace for Buster. He bites me ALL THE TIME and I would rather he chomp on something around my neck than me! I really need a pair of leather pants. Although I would rather not admit it - my absolute favorite pair got lost in the mail. Believe me - I've lost sleep over it. So, I figure I need to just bite the bullet and buy myself another pair for my birthday. I also am really loving hats these days. I definitely need one for our trip to Mexico. And who doesn't need cute drinking glasses?! I'm always in the market for housewares.

Colorful Carnations
What you'll need:
- white carnations
- food dye
- scissors
- water
- cups
I'm always trying to find fun things to do with Olive that are quick and easy. I remember doing this exact thing when I was kid! It's always amazing to wake up in the morning to find that the flowers have soaked the colors up. Especially when your 3 - it seems like magic!
I'll post a picture of our colorful flowers soon.
*note: use 20-30 drops of dye for bright colors.
