This little munchkin is so cute it melts my heart. Her new favorite thing to do is to point at Andrew and say "Dada", then point to me and say "Mama", then point to herself and say "Ahhhl".

Another Day at the Park

I have to admit - it's pretty convenient having a park a block away from our house. Olive absolutely loves it there.

because i'm now a responsible adult with a wife, child, and mortgage to worry about, my weekends are less about doin rails and more about wholesome fun like going to the park.  or researching preschools.  or gardening.

case in point - this sunday we went to the park with olive.  just look at her, adorable as ever -

and look at kimbo, looking radiant as ever.

Super Surprise Saturday

On Saturday afternoon Andrew planned a super surprise date day for me. I had absolutely no idea where we were going or what we were doing - which was VERY exciting! Up first - The Spice Table for lunch. A delicious chicken curry and a glass of wine later and I was ready for our next adventure.

When we pulled into the LA Gun Club I had no idea that THAT was what we were going to do. I've always wanted to shoot handguns but a part of me was too scared. I had no way of getting out of it this time!

Secretly, I'm so glad that Andrew took me there on our date - we had the BEST time. And I was surprisingly fearless once I got the hang of my .38 revolver.

As you can see - Andrew was a MUCH better shot than me. In fact - he hit with 99% accuracy. The thought did cross my mind that maybe his day job was just a cover for a more lethal secret career.

Bye-Bye Yancy

Tuesday night we met up at Soot Bull Jeep to say good-bye to our old pal Yancy. He was in town for a few days from Prague and thankfully I got to see him more than once! It's hard to believe that I hadn't seen him in over 8 years! The best thing about the night was that he wore his infamous red velvet smoking jacket! The second best thing was Poppie's pregnant belly. It definitely makes me want to have another baby again!

Best Time of Day

Every night before bath time, Olive gets to watch about 45 minutes worth of her little movies. She loves to point at the one she wants, then run into my arms and lay on me while she watches. Keep in mind that they are at most, 3 minutes long. This goes back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. It's my absolute favorite time of day.
