Mommy & Me Day

Tuesday afternoon Olive and I had a fun girls day. We started out at Al Gelato because I was craving the egg salad like crazy. As you can see - I broke our "no phone" rule.

After lunch we walked across the street to my favorite frozen yogurt place, Toppings. As you can see - Olive loved her yogurt more than she loved her lunch!

As we walked back to the car Olive grabbed my hand and walked with me the entire way. It was pretty darn cute.

To be continued.........

Cute Outfit of the Week

Olive got this outfit for Christmas from Grandma Rufer and finally got a chance to wear it the other day. I tried the pants on her a number of times, but they were always way too big! I realized the other day that they had buttons to make the waist smaller. Ooooops!

Learning to Swim

Bright and early Monday morning we had a swim class with Michelle and Georgia at the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy. The girls absolutely LOVE being in the water - although I think it helps that it is 92 degrees! Now I have to convince Andrew to get our pool that warm so we can start enjoying it again.

Olive Loves Uncle Shawn

Olive is very picky about who she lets pick her up. Lately, she only wants mommy or daddy. However, on Saturday night she was completely smitten with Uncle Shawn. We had dinner with him and Austin at Izakaya and she was perfectly content in his arms for most of the night!

Hello Soho House - I've Missed You

Saturday afternoon I met Lotus and Karina at the Soho House for brunch and to see John Carter. We got so wrapped up in our wine drinking and conversation that we ended up missing the movie. Unfortunately, the photobooth was broken or else I'm sure we would have taken 100 pictures! We opted for this one instead as we were getting into our cars.

Sound Makers

When we first started Toddle Tunes, the girls would hardly ever play the instruments. Now that they have been going for awhile - they can't get enough. When the instruments come out - they are the first in line to try out all the different sounds they make.

Walk Around the Block

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, so Olive and I decided to take advantage of the sunshine and went for a walk a few days ago. There were so many pretty things to look at that I decided to take pictures of everything in bloom!

But the cutest thing of all was Olive riding in her little car, holding my makeup firmly in her hands. I love that girl.

someone's got a little attitude problem

it is becoming apparent that little olive has her mother's temperament. more specifically - she gets really, really pissed when she doesn't get her way. here is a typical example - i had to go outside to water the tree and olive wasn't quick enough behind me to come along. as you can see she threw a fit.

also like her mother, the minute she gets what she wants the anger evaporates. the minute i walked back into the house she was all smiles.

Olive's Sandbox

A few weeks ago a huge package arrived for Olive from Grandma Rufer. When we opened it, we were surprised to find a bright red crab sandbox! Let me just say this - Olive absolutely LOVES it. Every morning she runs to the door so that she can go outside and play. Now I just have to convince her to stop eating the sand.

Disneyland....Again?

Wednesday afternoon we met Todd and Lizzy at Disneyland. At the last minute, Andrew got the day off and was able to join us! I love having season passes - no one can really say we aren't getting our money's worth!!!

It's a Colorful World

Olive absolutely loves her crayons. Her favorite thing to do is dump them all out and color on the big drawing paper I got her.

Ballerina Girls

Yesterday we took the girls to their first ballet class called 'Toddlers and Tutu's'. If I'm being honest - I think it was more fun just getting Olive dressed up! There is nothing cuter than a little girl in a tutu.

As you can see - Olive and Georgia wore matching pink outfits. I can't decide who wore it better because they both looked equally adorable!

As much as I am dying to get the girls in another dance class - I think they are still a little too young. Maybe in a few months we will try again. It's worth it just for the photos!
