This is Emily - Olive's new doll that Grandma Carolyn knit. She really is the cutest thing ever and even came with a suitcase filled with handmade clothes. Olive is pretty much obsessed and wants me to make a book filled with pictures of the two of them. 

Buster's First Art Class

Tuesday morning I took Buster to the same art class Olive went to years ago. I really wanted him to be around other kids his age. Granted - he wasn't interested in the art projects.  But he was interested in all the cars, toys, and of course the snacks! We will definitely be going back next week.

Napa Weekend Day 2

Day two of our Napa adventure involved an early morning at the hotel spa, and then LOTS of wine tasting. The first winery was St. Supéry where we had a private tour and custom poems written for us. Then we went to B Cellars for more wine and small bites of food. Last up on our tour: Duckhorn. Believe it or not - I was still standing by the end of our busy booze filled day. I think it was because I kept pouring my wine into my sister's crazy (I mean that in the NICEST way) friend, Katies, glass!

Happy Birthday Karrie - Napa Weekend

Friday morning I flew up north to spend a weekend in Napa for Karrie's 30th birthday. First stop was Del Dotto winery - where my friend Peter works. We had a private tour, ate some delicious meats, and got to taste a few yummy wines.

Then we met the family at Bottega for dinner. Where we pretty much ordered everything on the menu - it all looked so good!

After dinner we headed back to the bar at our beautiful hotel - Bardessono. We had more drinks and Karrie opened her presents from Ida and I. Our weekend was off to a great start! (although for the record - I was starting to miss the kids like crazy!)

Wicked

Instead of watching the Superbowl this year - Olive and I had a mommy/daughter date night on Sunday. First I took her to a delicious Italian dinner. Then we went to Pantages theater to see WICKED. 

It's one of my all time favorite Broadway shows. Even though it was my third time seeing it - I still loved it as much as the first time!

The best part was sitting with Olive and watching her excitement when they sang the songs that she knew. She really does love musical theater……thank goodness!

So You Think You Can Dance

As most of you know, Olive is obsessed with So You Think You Can Dance. Last year we would stay up late and watch it together. Last week Lotus got us tickets to watch the live show and meet all the dancers!

This is Olive's favorite dancer - Ricky. She made him the necklace he is wearing in the picture AND two beautiful drawings. It was pretty much the cutest thing ever.

She had the best time. At first I think she was overwhelmed that ALL the dancers were there and she got to meet them and take pictures. Of course - they all loved her. One thing is for sure - she is one lucky little girl.

Thanks Auntie Lotus for the tickets - you are the BEST!
