Let's Go Fly a Kite

While we were in Vegas, Grandma and Grandpa were teaching the little ones to fly a kite back home. How cute are they??

What Happens In Vegas…..

Saturday morning I surprised Andrew with a trip to Vegas for his birthday! His parents graciously offered to watch the kids so we could spend 24 hours in sin city. 

As soon as we landed we headed to the Wynn Hotel where my mom got us a suite. But as everyone knows - you don't go to Vegas to stay in your hotel room. So……we hit the casino floor and found our favorite slot machine 'Top Dollar' (thanks Shawn!!!!). I've never been much of a gambler, but I have to say we had so much fun!!

For dinner - we headed to Carnevino and then to the Mirage to see Beatles Love (thanks Carolyn and Dan!).  Even though I tried to stay up all night - sleep got the better of me and we were back in our room by midnight!

After sleeping in - we had a relaxing breakfast, packed up our bags, played our favorite slot machine (won another $150!), and headed to the airport. All in all we had an amazing time. In fact - we are planning another trip to Vegas in a few months. Maybe next time we will win big!

Cake Mix

On Daddy's birthday Olive really wanted to go back to Cake Mix and make him a cake. So on Thursday we took Harper and made the best cake ever. The best part….it was absolutely delicious1

Daddy + Daughter = Date Night

One night when I was getting ready for a date with Andrew - Olive turned to me and said, "Mommy - why can't daddy and I go on a date?". So last Sunday daddy took her on one. They went ice skating, bowling, and then to a toy store. Apparently Olive was pretty worn out after her busy day and was too tired for dinner. But she did tell daddy that she wanted to go on a date EVERY night with him.

Yesterday was daddy's birthday and I forgot to post these cute pictures of the kids. Thankfully birthdays are pretty much my favorite thing - so I hope we celebrate for a few more days!

The Never Ending Mess

It seems like our house is always a complete disaster. I clean up one mess - and another 4 sprout up somewhere else. Most of the time I'm pretty overwhelmed by it. I tell myself that there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything! Unfortunately - cleaning up 100 times a day is on the very bottom of my list.
