On the fourth day, I had tickets to see Hamilton. I had purchased tickets a few weeks before I flew out and got a great deal on a 4th row seat! Getting tickets in NY or LA was impossible so I figured London was the next best thing. The show was FANTASTIC. And by fantastic - I mean it was probably one of my favorite musicals to date. The only downside was that I was the only person that bothered to dress up!
After the musical - I had a glass of wine and food at what would become my favorite noodle bar in London - wagamama. Then I headed to the Graham Norton show where I met Lotus. Rod Stewart was playing the show so she was able to get me backstage! The guests for the evening were Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper (promoting A Star Is Born), Ryan Gosling (promoting First Man), and Jodi Whittaker (from British show Dr. Who). I got VERY close to Bradley Cooper - who is just as handsome in real life. Lady Gaga was super duper tiny. And Ryan Gosling was soooooo boring. Jodi Whittaker was the most entertaining and fun. After the show, Lotus and I went to the Soho House where Warner Brothers was having a party for A Star is Born. Sadly, I didn't get one photo from my amazing night.
Did I mention that the weather was absolutely perfect? The sun was shining every day and the sky was clear and very blue. On my fifth day in London I decided to go to the Tate Modern. It seemed like it had been forever since I've been to an art museum on my own and I was loving it. I had lunch on the top floor - which had excellent views of the city. After the museum I went back to the hotel where Lotus and I got ready to go to Wimbledon to see an old friend and then Windsor to see more friends.
Full disclosure - Lotus and I fell asleep on the ride from Wimbledon to Windsor. We decided on Indian food for dinner and told each other that it would not be a late night. Dinner was really really delicious and our friend Warren ended up meeting us there. After that we did a pub crawl where we met up with more friends. And after 2 bars we ended up at dance club. For anyone who knows me - I LOVE TO DANCE. So even though the music may not have been the best - we had the best time! Well....at least I did! And our "early" night ended up being a 3:30am sort of affair.
