Los Angeles Adventures

The last week has been extremely busy for Olive and me. We tried our hardest to be the best tour guides for Michelle, Jonathan, and Emily while they were in town. Not to brag - but I think they had a fantastic time!

Believe it or not we spent more than one afternoon in the valley! During one of our trips, we discovered an old fashion candy store. As you can see - Olive is a huge fan of the little vintage rides. She is an even bigger fan of candy.

We also hit up Malibu, Venice Beach, and the Pier in Santa Monica. Daddy was even able to join us at the end of the day! Athough I am afraid of heights, the best part was watching the gorgeous sunset on the ferris wheel.

Another day we had lunch at the LA staple - Pinks. It had been ages since I'd had a hotdog and it was delicious! Olive tried a bite, but I'm not sure she was a big fan.

We even made it on the set of Extra with Mario Lopez and Maria Menounos at the Grove. Michelle was one of the lucky few to get a free Clarisonic for being a part of the audience. Up next - a tour of Warner Brothers Studios.

Thursday we hit up the Beverly Hills Hotel in search of celebs. It was also an excuse for me to have a nice glass of wine and cheese plate. We were lucky enough to spot Lionel Richie and Katie Holmes while we were there! After our afternoon snack, we stopped by Meltdown Comics where Olive was fascinated with the pinball machine.

On our last day, we headed to Abbot Kinney to enjoy 1st Friday. There were a ton of food trucks there, so we were excited to try as many as we could! I got the tofu and rice bowl, a grilled cheese with apples, tater tots, and a baked lobster roll. It was all sooooo yummy!

All in all it was a great week with the family! The kids absolutely adored Olive and today when she woke up she was wandering around the house looking for them. It was pretty cute.
