Home Sweet Home

There have been moments where I've considered selling our new house. Because we purchased it from the original owner - there is just so so so much to do!! It can be overwhelming at times. All of the bathrooms need to be redone. The kitchen desperately needs a makeover. And don't even get me started on the backyard and pool.  The problem is I really really really LOVE it. I love that the original owner designed it with her cousin. I love that it is so big and open. I love that Olive and Buster love it. 

I still have a long way to go - but I'm trying to take it room by room.  Next up is the TV room/playroom. It needs some serious TLC. 

Back to Mexico

Next month I'm heading back to Mexico to celebrate a friends birthday. We are going for a long weekend and I'm getting very excited. More to come.....

Moodboard - Back to School

One thing about me - I LOVE any excuse to buy things.  Back to school shopping is one of my all time favorites. I loved it as a kid, and I love it now!  Our go to stores are: H&M (the overalls and dress), Zara (the leather jacket and shiny shoes), and Target (notebook, water bottle, lunchbox, backpack, pencil holder, and dinosaur shirt). And who doesn't love vans? I bought both Buster and Olive the checkered ones so we would all match!

First Grade

Yesterday was Olive's first day as a 1st Grader. I always say this - but I honestly don't know where the time has gone! She is growing into such a sweet, smart, amazingly extraordinary girl. Thankfully she was placed with a great teacher and a fun group of kids.

Lemonade Stand

Last weekend the kids had a Lemonade Stand in our neighborhood. Since our street doesn't have a ton of traffic, we moved onto another street that does! Olive and Buster made chocolate chip cookies, rice krispie treats, and banana bread. The crazy thing is - they made over $100. I might be putting them to work every weekend. 

Good-Bye Tonsils

It's been a crazy 2 years with Olive consistently getting sick. She's had strep throat over 8 times and when she's under the weather - her throat hurts, she pukes, and has a high fever. It's pretty miserable for everyone. We recently saw an ENT to discuss having her tonsils removed. Of course she was for it as they are extremely large and she gets sick every few weeks. Unfortunately, we couldn't get an appointment before school started so it looks like we will be having a lot of ice cream and milkshakes over the Thanksgiving break!
