Olive & Buster Update

OLIVE UPDATE

- Loves my tiny gold laptop. I don't use it much and she asked me the other day if she could play on it.  Of course, I said yes. Now she says, "I love playing on MY computer". "Mommy, where is MY computer?" "MY gold computer is so cool."
- Fully reading and writing. It's crazy how smart she is.
- Her absolute favorite thing in the world right now is the mermaid tail I got her. She asked for one last year but there was some complications with the order. Well...I finally got around to ordering her another one and it came last weekend. She has put it on EVERY SINGLE DAY since.
- Has a new crush on a boy in Kindergarten named Jonah. They had a playdate today and after she said, "Mommy - I had a really good time with Jonah". Lord help me.
- A boy in kindergarten named Sam has a crush on her. Last Thursday when I volunteered he said "Kim, who does Olive have a crush on?" And I said, "She has a crush on a lot of people". And he replied, "Tell her to have a crush on me!" And so I said, "Why do you like Olive?" and he said, "I'm going to marry her or Harper." OMG. I was dying. It was pretty much the cutest thing ever. For the record, Sam is Jonah's best friend.
- Won her 4th Principles Award at school.
- No longer wants to do ballet. Her class has too many kids in it and she just doesn't seem into it. We took her out, but I'm still holding onto hope that she will eventually want to try it again.
- Is getting more sassy. She's definitely pushing boundaries a little more.
- Getting so big. She wears a size 10.5 in shoes and a 5T in clothes. She's still on the petite side.
- LOVES to torment her brother. Sometimes she will take his pacifier and throw it. Other times she will taunt him. Sometimes she hits him back. And then other times she is the sweetest big sister ever.

BUSTER UPDATE

- Sleeps in a toddler bed now. We haven't had any problems with him getting out either. Thankfully he LOVES to bedtime.
- Still obsessed with his pacifiers. Hoping that we can get rid of them this year.
- Has given up his afternoon naps. Now he says, "Mommy - just rest a little bit with the iPad?"
- Potty trained. I thought it was going to be MUCH harder, but he was super easy. The only problem is he still likes to poop in his diapers. He tells me when he needs to go and I put one on him.  Thankfully it's just once a day!
- Loves bouncy houses. He asked to have one at his birthday. I was going for a more mellow approach to his party this year - but I can't really say no to him.
- When grandma comes on wednesday mornings - he refuses to let me anywhere near them. "No mommy. Don't come in here".  He will barely let me carry on a conversation with her!
- His new favorite movie is Ice Age. His favorite tv show is Peppa Pig.
- Whenever anyone asks him how old he is he says, "I fiiiiiiiiive". I always have to say "You are?! Buster...you're actually going to be three!"
- Starting preschool in July! We went with him the other day and he was sooooo excited. Mommy is excited too. I think he is going to LOVE it.
- Loves to torment his sister. If she is playing with a toy - he has to have it. If Olive is playing on my computer - he wanted to be playing it too. Sometimes they are ADORABLE together and play happily. Other times they fight like crazy.
