Zoo Lights

The day after New Years we decided to see the Lights at the Los Angeles Zoo. As a kid - I always loved seeing Christmas lights. I remember driving around with my mom for hours and trying to find the best houses. I was hoping my kids would enjoy it as much as I did! Well……I forgot the double stroller. Strike one. I also forgot a blanket. Strike two.  So both kids were cold and tired of walking. Thankfully they loved riding the carousel.

Trying to get a picture of all of us is not the easiest thing. For some reason this last weekend - we started taking some pictures…..and it wasn't a total disaster. Buster was loving it. Olive, on the other hand, refused to take any photos until I put bright red lipstick on her. For the record - I photoshopped it out in these pictures…..

Tahoe: Frosty

On our last day in Tahoe the girls decided to make a snowman.  That means Anne and JC spent about an hour of back-breaking work putting it together, then Olive and Mika decorated it with rocks and red licorice and claimed to have made the whole thing themselves.  Buster was disappointed that Frosty didn't come to life, but you can't win them all.

Tahoe: Day 2

On our second day in Tahoe - we went out and explored while Buster was asleep. Our biggest issue with the snow was getting the little ones in mittens. They either didn't fit right or it was impossible to get their fingers in, or they wouldn't stay on! And let me tell you this - no gloves only ended in a lot of tears.
