Grandma Retired!

After nearly 40 years as a nurse and nurse practitioner, Grandma Carolyn worked her last day on Thursday.  It is an amazing accomplishment, and one of the doctors at her practice threw her a wonderful party in Carpenteria.  About 35 of her coworkers sang her praises and helped wish her well in retirement.  She is planning on making weekly visits to babysit and hang out with the grandkids, and Olive is very excited to see more of her!

Lake Tahoe

Saturday afternoon we packed up the car and headed to Lake Tahoe. On the way there we got stuck in a snowstorm!!! All I wanted to do was to get out of the car and play - but unfortunately, we weren't moving and it was super cold outside.

Our friends Shawn and Austin were already up there for the Iron Man triathlon. Austin had been training for an entire year for the race and we wanted to support him.

Tahoe is so amazingly beautiful. I only wish we went more often. Maybe that will be my New Years Resolution for next year.

I haven't blogged in days - and it has been killing me! On Friday we flew to Sacramento for Auntie Lizzy's bridal shower and then on Saturday we headed up to Tahoe for the weekend (will post pictures soon). We just got back last night and Buster is a little under the weather. I promise to blog again as soon as I can!
