I Want Sushi
This afternoon I was craving sushi and couldn't resist going by myself with Olive. I discovered 3 things while I was at Echigo with my darling daughter.
#1. Babies and sushi don't mix, especially when the restaurant doesn't have a high chair.
#2. Sushi is so much cheaper at lunchtime, especially when it doesn't involve alcohol.
#3. Olive loves ginger!

ST&NDARD GOODS
Recently, our good friend Garrett opened a new store called ST&NDARD GOODS. Saturday night he had the grand opening party. Unfortunately we didn't plan properly and failed to get a sitter. We ended up taking Olive, but had to leave early since it was way past her bedtime. The party was a huge success and we couldn't be happier for Garrett. I only wish we could have stayed there all night!

Piper Turns 2/Olive's First Pony Ride
Saturday afternoon we were invited to Pipers birthday party in the Pacific Palisades. Daddy had to work so Olive and I went solo style. Piper looked so cute and grown up. I can't believe she is 2 already!
There was a petting zoo with goats, ducks, chickens, and bunny rabbits.
They even had little ponies for the kids to ride! Before we left I decided it couldn't hurt to let Olive get on one. What I didn't know was how excited she would be. I think we might be in trouble.
There were even a few celebrities at the party. Can you spot them both in this picture?
Hint: He loves LA and she hates vampires.
Cute Outfit of the Week
It's been awhile since I've had a cute outfit of the week because Olive is still in her 6-12 month clothes. I've been crossing my fingers that she would go up a size! I couldn't wait any longer and decided to put her in this today. The weather has been dreary, so it was perfect. It's still a little big, but oh well.

Double Trouble
Thursday afternoon Lula came over to hang with me and Olive for a few hours. Watching two little munchkins is a lot more difficult than just one - but it wasn't THAT bad. Maybe it's time for Andrew and I to start thinking about having another baby!
olivezilla must destroy everything she sees
kim and i are somewhat opposites when it comes to cleanliness.
kim is super ocd when it comes to dirt, dust, and spills, but tends toward hoarders territory when it comes to clutter. i, on the other hand, can't stand out of place papers on a table, but probably wouldn't notice the dust bunnies on the floor. important note: kim disagrees with my assessment of her - but it's true, trust me.
and for olive? imagine a 2 foot tall steamroller. dirt? dust? straight into her mouth. neatly arranged bookshelf? all on the floor. kitchen cabinet? more like child-height play zone.
