Saturday morning we drove to Newport to spend a few days with the Rufer clan for the Fourth of July. The weather was gorgeous so we put a blanket on the grass and enjoyed the beautiful view.
My niece Alison and I went for a bike ride around the island later in the afternoon. Grandma bought her a new hot pink bike and she couldn't wait to ride it around!
We even hit the tennis courts after Olive went to sleep. I hadn't played in years and wasn't very good, but it was fun.
After Karrie flew in we got a bite to eat and a nice bottle of wine. Alison even convinced us to take a ride on the ferris wheel. All in all - it was a very good start to our Fourth of July weekend!
